About Vermont Achievement Center, Inc.

The Vermont Achievement Center, Inc., a 501(c) 3 charitable organization has been serving the needs of children and families throughout the Rutland region and Vermont since 1937. VAC continues to offer innovative and responsive programs in special education, early education and child care, as well as water safety and aqua therapy. The programs provided by VAC have touched the lives of more than 7,000 children and families throughout our region over the years.

About the role

The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s physical facility, including building, grounds, equipment, pool, and maintenance services.

Responsibilities

· Facilities management

· Team management

· Project and vendor management

· Budgeting and financial management

· Other duties as assigned

Candidate requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred - 7 years of applicable experience in the management of

facilities operations.

· Leadership skills - Experience managing a team

· Communication, problem solving, strategic thinking

· Proven project management experience, including planning, execution, and budget

management
